    It’s also a good day to remember that forests are important to us. They help the environment, and support biodiversity, but also an important resource for rural communities. All in all, very important for the future of our planet.

    COMMECT was honored to join a delegation to visit by engaging with stakeholders of UK FCDO-funded Connected Turkiye project, at CATAPULT’s Westcott and Harwell campuses, Rothamptead Research, Ofcom and Dorset’s partners. 

    The visit included workshops, discussions, and visits to get insights about the latest research, 5G connectivity, and digital innovation for rural areas. The national innovation agency in Luxembourg, Luxinnovation, helped the coordinator of the COMMECT project, LIST, to find key international partners and ensure the high quality of the funding application.

    The COMMECT partner Huawei and Dronetech, Austria's largest drone service provider, announced new applications resulting from their collaboration in 5G smart farming. Moreover, the two companies announced that their important collaboration is entering its second phase. Huawei will provide cloud computing services and Dronetech’s drones will survey the land and objects to capture images and data that will be processed by artificial intelligence with the aim to provide istantaneous actionable findings to the users.
