Objective
To enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of forestry operations in Norway through digital tools, remote operational support, and advanced situational awareness services.
Description
The Living Lab in Norway focuses on supporting forestry operations by integrating IoT, drone technology, and 5G private networks. Real-time data collection and remote assistance tools provide forest machine operators with expert support and situational awareness during operations. The lab also aims to improve safety through emergency response services, using drones to monitor forests for fires, floods, and other hazards. The lab is developing a technology for forested areas that enables precision forestry, optimizing the thinning and logging processes, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
