    Bård Tronvoll and Gabriel Linton from partner organization CREDS at INN attended "The Forest into the Future" in Kongsvinger, Norway. The conference was hosted by another COMMECT partner, Klosser Innovasjon and Lars Gillund. 

    The conference was focused on the future of forestry and how innovation can support the sector’s development. This aligns with the work being done at Living Lab Norway which focuses on connected forestry through digital tools to help manage forests sustainably.

    The COMMECT project participated in VITIS LIVE 2024, held in the Mosel region, Germany. The focus was on innovative agricultural technologies. Hosted at the Institute Viti Vinicole (IVV) tent, our partner Miriam Machwitz from LIST showed tractor-based cameras and drones, tools designed to enhance viticulture practices through precision agriculture.

    COMMECT held an Executive Board meeting on April 15th - 17th, to monitor the progress of the project, and get prepared for the upcoming project review. The 3-days event was filled with insights, collaboration, and strategic decision-making.

    First results and potential innovation were discussed, with the aim of deploying impactful connectivity solutions, tailored to actual end-users' and stakeholders' needs.

    Next steps in the project implementation were defined, with focus on the deployment of connectivity solutions in the Living Labs, assesment of their socio-economic and environmental impact, definition and adoption of collaborative #business models.

    The ETSI IoT Conference 2023, which took place on 4-6 July 2023 in Sophia Antipolis (France), is a must-attend event gathering IoT experts to discuss standard-enabled technologies, IoT service deployments, and future standardization work.

    The conference covers topics such as the role of IoT in digital and green transformation, advanced IoT technologies, and horizontal IoT standards for various sectors.

    DunavNET CEO, Srdjan Krčo, presented the COMMECT project activities in his session titled ‘COMMECT: Building Digital Bridges for Rural Areas’.

    Srdjan discussed how to bridge the digital divide in rural regions by providing reliable and secure access to everyone, regardless of location.
