COMMECT–Brazil Living Labs joint webinar
Following COMMECT’s April mission to Rio Grande do Sul, a joint webinar brought together all five COMMECT Living Labs and Brazilian partners from SENAI-RS/Embrapii, TEC4B and Embrapa. The full recording is now available.
In April 2025, COMMECT spent a week in Rio Grande do Sul meeting SENAI-RS/Embrapii’s Competence Center for Digital Agriculture in Porto Alegre, the State Secretariat for Innovation, Science and Technology (SICT-RS) and its TEC4B programme, the Municipal Department of Agriculture in Flores da Cunha, and Embrapa Uva e Vinho in Bento Gonçalves. The visit combined institutional meetings, a public technical session and working discussions with growers and researchers.
A follow-up webinar on 21 July 2025 brought a larger group together online. Teams from all five COMMECT Living Labs presented their pilots and early results; Brazilian colleagues introduced their sub-projects in digital agriculture. The session compared approaches to hybrid connectivity, IoT sensing, imaging and decision support, and discussed adoption barriers and business models.
